Soba Yu Sheng
Known as Japan\’s top soba restaurant, Nadai Fujisoba developed a Chinese New Year special – yusheng with cold and fried soba noodles. The soba noodles, constructed from buckwheat flour, are produced fresh waiting for you daily. Besides being an excellent source of fibre, the noodles are also gluten-free which might be best for those who\’re intolerant. Other than the usual raw salmon, there is also seasoned octopus and tobiko (fish roe) for the elevated umami flavour.

Fruity Yu Sheng
It may sound odd to feature numerous fruits like Fuji apple, Korean pear and rockmelon into yusheng but you\’d be amazed at how well they complement the raw salmon slices, each bite delivering a refreshing sweet crunch. Extra virgin olive oil is drizzled covering the yusheng in preference to the common peanut or corn oil. Naturally pressed from the plant, extra virgin olive oil retains more nutrients including antioxidants.

Hamachi will be Japanese yellowtail, and it\’s really a better origin of omega-3 extra fat than salmon. These fish slices are served atop a medley of veggies – white radish, yam, sweet potato and carrots.

A refreshing undertake the normal yusheng, this vegetarian one comes with a tart fruit-based sauce and lemongrass-infused oil as dressing. Allow salmon \”sashimi\” soak during the dressing and you will probably forget that the dish is meat-free. Don\’t be fooled from the name. It is another vegetarian option with \”salmon\” slices constructed from konnyaku. It is good in case you aren\’t hot for sashimi – everything around the \”salmon\” slices is right, in relation to appearance and texture. A low-cost these phones taste similar to the fatty fish, though. Other ingredients include savoury soya slices, citrusy pomelo in addition to a mildly sweetened homemade sauce.

Another way to take a healthier yusheng could be to produce your own. At Aquamarine, you are able to customise your yusheng in the DIY yusheng station. Ingredients include the usual shredded carrots, radish and pickled ginger strips.
